Attention! For LIMITED TIME ONLY! BidCal has been contracted to liquidate farming assets of Andersen and Sons in Vina, CA (20 miles North of Chico, CA). Farm EQ, Shop EQ and more to be sold to the highest bidder! There is NO Cap on a 15% Buyers Premium for this auction, bid accordingly. Some of this EQ has been sitting for a couple of years, some of it just came out of the field. It is all being sold as it sits - As Is, Where Is. We will post what we know. We don't much other than most everything needs a jump start. We will be prepared to do just that during the inspection period. You should come to the three-day inspection period to take a look for yourself and determine conditions. We will post the hours and years of EQ as we think accurate but not guaranteed. The George & Ruth Geis Collection of Historic Horse-Drawn Vehicles! The Napa Valley Expo is offering for sale the extraordinary George & Ruth Geis Collection—a one-of-a-kind assemblage of historic horse-drawn buggies, carriages, wagons, and agricultural equipment. The collection was donated to the Napa Valley Expo in 1996 by George Geis as his health began to decline. His vision was for the Expo to restore, preserve, and exhibit the collection in a dedicated museum where future generations could experience an important chapter of transportation history. Although that museum was never built, the vehicles have been carefully stored and occasionally displayed over the past three decades. Over the course of 40 years, George Geis assembled this remarkable collection with a simple goal: to remind future generations that the world once moved at a much slower pace. Today, the collection represents one of the most diverse private assemblages of its kind. Among its highlights are a San Francisco funeral wagon blistered during the 1906 earthquake fires, a chariot used in the 1923 Hollywood epic Ben-Hur, a massive steam-powered thresher, an 1888 Italian wine wagon, and more than 40 additional original horse-drawn vehicles and implements spanning the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Napa Valley Expo believes the greatest way to honor George Geis's legacy is to place these historic conveyances into the hands of collectors, museums, preservationists, and enthusiasts who will restore, display, and safeguard them for generations to come. Rarely does a collection of this scale, diversity, provenance, and historical significance become available. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a remarkable piece of transportation history.
